The Fall Guy follows the adventures of Colt Seavers (Lee Majors), a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter. With the help of his cousin, Howie Munson (Douglas Barr), and glamorous stuntwoman Jody Banks (Heather Thomas), Colt travels around Los Angeles and beyond, capturing fugitives and taking on dangerous tasks.

The show was known for its high-octane action sequences, including car chases, stunts, and explosions. Each episode featured at least one big set piece, often involving Colt using his skills as a stuntman to outwit his foes. The series also had a comedic edge, with Barr's character providing comic relief and Thomas's character often serving as eye candy.

Throughout its five-season run, The Fall Guy featured guest stars from the worlds of film and television, including Farrah Fawcett, Markie Post, and Dick Butkus. The show's signature theme song, "The Unknown Stuntman," was sung by Lee Majors himself.

Despite its popularity, The Fall Guy was not without controversy. In 1983, the show was sued by a real-life bounty hunter who claimed that it had stolen his name and likeness for the character of Colt Seavers. The case was eventually settled out of court.

After its cancellation in 1986, The Fall Guy remained a cult favorite among fans of '80s TV. In recent years, there have been rumors of a possible revival or reboot of the series, though nothing has been confirmed.
