The Dukes of Hazzard is an American action-comedy television series that aired from 1979 to 1985. The show follows the adventures of Bo and Luke Duke, two cousins who live in the fictional Hazzard County, Georgia. They drive around in a 1969 Dodge Charger named "General Lee," getting into all sorts of trouble and trying to outrun the corrupt authorities of Hazzard County.
Bo and Luke live with their Uncle Jesse, a wise and kind-hearted patriarch who runs a farm and is well-respected in the community. They also have a beautiful and spunky cousin named Daisy, who is often the voice of reason and often helps the boys out of tough situations.
Their primary antagonist is Boss Hogg, a greedy, corrupt politician who is constantly trying to swindle the people of Hazzard County out of their hard-earned money and land. He is always after the Duke boys, seeing them as a threat to his schemes.
Helping Boss Hogg is his bumbling sidekick, Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, who is more interested in impressing his boss than actually doing his job. He is constantly letting the Duke boys get away, much to the disappointment of Boss Hogg.
Throughout the series, the Duke boys take on a variety of foes, from corrupt businessmen to criminal masterminds. They use their wits and driving skills to stay one step ahead of their enemies, always with a good-natured sense of humor and a sense of justice.
