Panic is based on the young adult novel of the same name by Lauren Oliver. The series follows the story of three high school seniors, Heather, Natalie, and Dodge, who participate in a dangerous game called Panic during their final summer before graduation.

Panic is a mysterious game with no rules, played by the graduating seniors of Carp, Texas. It involves a series of challenges that test their physical and mental abilities and require them to confront their deepest fears. The game is organized and financed by an anonymous individual known only as "The Judge," who offers a cash prize of $50,000 to the winner.

The challenges of Panic are designed to be more dangerous and intense than ever before, leading to the deaths of two players in the past. The risk and excitement of the game, however, draws many of the teens to participate.

As the game progresses, Heather, Natalie, and Dodge must navigate their way through dangerous obstacles and confront personal demons in order to survive. The unlikely trio is forced to form alliances, betray one another, and compete against a group of ruthless players who will stop at nothing to win.

Panic explores themes of friendship, love, betrayal, and the lengths young people will go to escape their small town and uncertain futures. The series stars Olivia Welch, Mike Faist, and Jessica Sula, and premiered on Amazon Prime Video in May 2021.
