The Rebound is a romantic comedy film directed by Bart Freundlich and stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Sandy and Justin Bartha as Aram. The film takes place in New York City and follows the story of recently divorced Sandy who moves to the city with her two children after discovering her husband's infidelity. In the city, she meets Aram, a twenty-something college graduate who is working odd jobs to support himself.

Sandy finds it hard to balance her career and being a single mom, so she hires Aram to be her nanny. At first, their relationship is strictly professional, but they soon find out they have a lot in common and develop a strong bond. Sandy and Aram start to fall in love with each other, but their relationship is met with opposition from their family and friends due to their age difference and Sandy's recent divorce.

As their relationship progresses, Sandy and Aram begin to face challenges that test their bond. Sandy's ex-husband tries to reconcile with her, and Aram's ex-wife returns to New York and tries to win him back. In the end, Sandy and Aram realize that although they may have started dating as a rebound, their feelings for each other are genuine and they decide to pursue a long-term relationship.

The Rebound received mixed reviews from critics but was praised for its performances and humor. It also explored the themes of single parenthood, age differences in relationships, and finding love after divorce.
