The Rebound is a romantic comedy film directed by Bart Freundlich and stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Sandy and Justin Bartha as Aram. The film takes place in New York City and follows the story of recently divorced Sandy who moves to the city with her two children after discovering her husband's infidelity. In the city, she meets Aram, a twenty-something college graduate who is working odd jobs to support himself.

In the end, Sandy and Aram realize that although they may have started dating as a rebound, their feelings for each other are genuine and they decide to pursue a long-term relationship.
