Going Places is a 2019 French-American comedy-drama film directed and co-written by John Turturro. It is a loose remake of the 1974 French film Les Valseuses, which was directed by Bertrand Blier.
The film follows the misadventures of two delinquent friends, Jesus Quintana (John Turturro) and Petey (Bobby Cannavale). They cross paths with another thief, Marie-Ange (Audrey Tautou), and convince her to join them as they travel across the country, committing crimes and outraging respectable society.
Marie-Ange is a hairdresser who is tired of her mundane life and is drawn to the danger and excitement of Jesus and Petey. She falls in love with both men and becomes their confidante and cook.
