The Good Guys was a comedic procedural television series that premiered on Fox in May 2010. The show's premise centered around the odd couple dynamic of Dan Stark and Jack Bailey, two Dallas detectives with vastly different personalities and approaches to police work. Stark, played by Bradley Whitford, was a brash and reckless old-school cop who relied on his instincts and experience rather than rules and procedures. Bailey, portrayed by Colin Hanks, was a young and driven law enforcement officer who believed in doing things by the book and following proper protocol.

The show's humor came from the constant clashes between the two partners, as Bailey struggled to rein in Stark's wild behavior and Stark chafed against the restrictive protocols imposed by their superiors. The pair often found themselves in hilarious situations, such as accidentally blowing up a hamburger joint, chasing a runaway ostrich through the streets of Dallas, or getting stuck in a giant piñata.

Despite being low-rated, the show garnered a cult following for its offbeat humor, clever writing, and the chemistry between the lead actors. Unfortunately, it was cancelled after only one season, leaving fans disappointed and clamoring for more.
