The Beverly Hillbillies follows the Clampett family, who become incredibly wealthy overnight after striking oil on their land in the Ozarks. The family consists of Jed Clampett, the patriarch and head of the household, his mother-in-law Granny, his beautiful but naive daughter Ellie May, and his dim-witted nephew Jethro.
After becoming multimillionaires, the Clampetts move to a mansion in Beverly Hills, where they encounter the upper-class society of Los Angeles. Despite their newfound wealth, the Clampetts remain true to their humble roots and continue to approach life with simplicity and good-natured charm.
