Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo was a spin-off from the original Scooby-Doo cartoon series, which had been running since 1969. The new show introduced Scrappy-Doo, a puppy who was Scooby's nephew and joined the gang on their mystery-solving adventures.

Each episode followed a similar formula, with the gang encountering a supernatural mystery which they set out to solve. Scrappy's enthusiasm often got them into more trouble, but his bravery and determination helped them to overcome the obstacles they faced.

The show featured the original voice actors from the Scooby-Doo series, including Don Messick as Scooby-Doo and Casey Kasem as Shaggy. Lennie Weinrib provided the voice of Scrappy-Doo.

Despite its popularity, the show was cancelled after just one season due to concerns about the violent content of some of the episodes. In particular, some parents complained that the show was too scary for young children.

Despite its short run, Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo remains a fan favorite and has become a cult classic. It was also the last time that the original Scooby-Doo gang appeared together on screen until the release of the 2002 movie Scooby-Doo.
