New York Confidential revolved around the investigations and operations of a private detective agency based in New York City. The agency was run by Mark Saber, a former police detective who now works as a private investigator. Saber was assisted by a young and ambitious investigator named Jason Graf.
Each episode of the series followed Saber and Graf as they worked on a different case, ranging from murders and robberies to missing persons and fraud. The show was known for its gritty portrayal of New York City's criminal underworld and the shady characters that inhabited it.
New York Confidential starred Lee Bowman as Mark Saber and Ricardo Cortez as Jason Graf. The series was created by Robert S. Baker and Monty Berman, who would go on to produce many other popular crime dramas in the 1960s and 1970s, including The Saint and The Persuaders!.
While New York Confidential only ran for one season, it was well-received by audiences and critics alike and has since become a cult classic among fans of classic crime dramas.
