Gloria follows the story of Na Jin Jin (Bae Doona), a young woman with dreams of becoming a successful singer. However, after her father's death, she is forced to take care of her family's struggling small business and put her own dreams on hold.
One day, while working at a nightclub, she meets a wealthy young man named Ha Dong Ah (Seo Ji-seok) who falls in love with her. Despite their different backgrounds, they begin a relationship and try to overcome the obstacles that come their way.
Meanwhile, Na Jin Jin's childhood friend, Lee Kang Suk (Lee Chun-hee), returns from abroad and is determined to win her heart. A love triangle ensues as both men compete for her affections.
