Zombae is a comedic horror film directed by Jane Doe and starring Emma Smith in the lead role as the suburban housewife, Karen. Karen is initially shocked and horrified to discover that her husband, Bob, has turned into a flesh-eating zombie. However, she soon realizes that she can't just abandon him and decides to stick by his side.
As Karen tries to adjust to life with a zombie husband, she also decides to re-enter the dating scene. Unfortunately, she quickly discovers that the men out there are just as bad, if not worse, than her undead spouse. From aggressive pickup lines to bizarre fetishes, Karen encounters a series of hilariously disastrous dates.
Thankfully, Karen has her best friend, Stephanie (played by Nicole Johnson), to support her through this difficult time. Stephanie is a no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is type of person who encourages Karen to keep trying until she finds someone who deserves her.
As the film progresses, Karen must navigate the challenges of being married to a zombie and dating in the modern world. Along the way, she learns valuable lessons about love, loyalty, and the importance of being true to oneself.
Zombae is a darkly humorous take on both the horror and rom-com genres. With its clever writing, strong performances, and clever visual gags, it offers a fresh twist on the classic zombie tale.
