Koutarou Tatsumi is a 27-year-old man who works as a low-level programmer for a company that creates mobile games. His life is a monotonous routine of long hours, low pay, and verbal abuse from his boss. Koutarou has nothing to look forward to and feels unfulfilled with his life.
One day, a mysterious virus breaks out in Tokyo, turning people into zombies. Koutarou, who has always been fascinated by zombies, suddenly finds himself in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. At first, he is scared and overwhelmed by the chaos around him. However, as he begins to fight for his survival, Koutarou discovers a new sense of purpose and adventure.
With the help of a fellow survivor, a high school girl named Nami, Koutarou sets out to complete his bucket list of things to do before he dies. They encounter various obstacles along the way, including swarms of zombies, dangerous gangs, and a government conspiracy. However, Koutarou and Nami never give up hope and continue to push forward, living each day as if it could be their last.
As they travel through the ruins of Tokyo, Koutarou learns not only how to survive but also how to live. He realizes that before the outbreak, he was just going through the motions of life without any real purpose or passion. Now, Koutarou has a new lease on life and is determined to make the most of his time, no matter how long or short it may be.
