Youth Without Youth is a 2007 drama film directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and is based on the novella of the same name by Romanian author Mircea Eliade. The story is set in Europe before World War II and follows the life of Dominic Matei, a 70-year-old professor of linguistics and philosophy who has never married. After he is struck by lightning, he miraculously begins to age backwards, becoming younger by the day. This attracts the attention of Nazi scientists who seek to use his powers for their own benefit.
