Young & Wild

Comedy,Drama  Chile

Young & Wild is a Chilean coming-of-age drama film directed by Marialy Rivas. The story revolves around Daniela, a 17-year-old girl who lives in a conservative Evangelical family in Santiago, Chile. She is a talented writer and writes a blog called "Young & Wild" where she writes about her sexual experiences and her search for spirituality.

Despite her religious upbringing, Daniela rebels against her parents' strict beliefs and engages in sexual activities with both men and women. When her parents discover her sexual behavior, they send her away to a retreat for troubled Christian youths in hopes of "repairing" her moral compass. However, Daniela continues to struggle with her desires, leading to even more rebellious behavior.

Throughout the film, Daniela explores her sexuality and spirituality in a way that challenges the norms of her environment. She questions the teachings of her religion and chooses to make her own decisions about her body and mind. Through her writing, she finds a platform for her personal growth and self-expression.

Young & Wild is a thought-provoking and poignant film that tackles themes of sexuality, religion, and personal growth. It was critically acclaimed and won the World Cinema Screenwriting Award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
