The movie You Might Be the Killer is a horror-comedy that follows the story of Sam (Fran Kranz), who works as a counselor at a summer camp. One night, as he is working at the camp, he finds himself in the middle of a murder spree, where counselors are being killed off one by one by a mysterious killer.
Panicked and confused, Sam decides to call his friend, Chuck (Alyson Hannigan), a horror-film enthusiast, to help him figure out what to do. As they talk, Sam begins to remember bits and pieces of what happened, and they start to suspect that he might be the killer.
At first reluctant to believe that he could be responsible for the murders, Sam and Chuck begin to piece together what happened the night of the killings. Along the way, they discover that the murderer is not who they thought it was, and that they are both in danger.
