You Kill Me is a dark comedy that follows Frank Falenczyk (Ben Kingsley), an alcoholic hitman from Buffalo, New York. After a mission goes awry, Frank's boss sends him to San Francisco to dry out and sober up. While there, Frank attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and starts to work at a mortuary, where he befriends the quirky Laurel Pearson (Téa Leoni).
As Frank starts to get his life back on track, he receives a call from his boss back in Buffalo. He's needed to take care of some unfinished business. Frank agrees to return to Buffalo, but he's conflicted about his future. The only thing he knows for sure is that he wants to stop drinking and start a new life.
Laurel offers to help Frank with his mission, and the two of them go on a quirky adventure to take down Frank's enemies. Along the way, Frank and Laurel fall in love, which complicates Frank's plans for the future.
