You Don't Mess with the Zohan is a 2008 American comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan and starring Adam Sandler in the lead role as Zohan, an elite counterterrorism soldier in the Israeli army. Zohan longs to leave his dangerous but successful career behind and pursue his passion for hair styling in New York City.
After faking his death and assuming a new identity as a hairstylist named Scrappy Coco, Zohan struggles to find work until he is discovered by a Palestinian woman named Dalia, who runs a struggling salon in a predominantly Arab neighborhood. Zohan soon becomes a popular and successful stylist, winning over even his Arab and Palestinian clients with his skills and charm.
However, Zohan's peaceful new life is threatened when his former boss, a notorious Palestinian terrorist named Phantom, discovers that Zohan is still alive and vows revenge. As a result, Zohan is forced to confront his past and use his counterterrorism skills to defend his new community and his newfound love for Dalia.
The film features a blend of slapstick comedy, action sequences, and social commentary on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It also stars John Turturro as Phantom, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Dalia, and Rob Schneider as Zohan's friend and assistant Salim.
