The incident that caused Rhino and Zulu to go their separate ways happened when they were teenagers. They were playing in a mine dump when they stumbled upon a stash of stolen jewelry. Rhino took the jewelry and sold it, keeping the money for himself and not sharing it with Zulu. This caused a rift between the two friends, and they never spoke to each other again.
Years later, Rhino has gone to the United States and become a small-time criminal. He returns to South Africa with a plan to steal a large amount of lottery money. Zulu, on the other hand, has become a successful businessman and a respected member of the community.
When Rhino's plan goes awry, he and Zulu are thrown together in a madcap chase to recover the stolen money and evade the police. Along the way, they are pursued by Gen. Diehard, a police officer who is determined to catch them, as well as Rowena, Rhino's ex-wife, who has her own reasons for wanting the money.
As they race across the South African countryside, Rhino and Zulu must come to terms with their past and work together to avoid getting caught. In the end, they manage to outwit their pursuers and find hope for a renewed friendship.
