Science Fiction,Horror  United Kingdom

Xtro is a 1982 British science fiction horror film directed by Harry Bromley Davenport. The film opens with a scene where Tony and his father, Sam, are playing catch in their garden. Suddenly, a bright light appears in the sky and Sam gets sucked into it. His wife Rachel is devastated by his disappearance but eventually moves on with her life and starts living with Joe, a photographer.

Three years later, Sam inexplicably returns to Earth, having undergone some kind of transformation during his time away. He appears emaciated and sickly, and his behavior is erratic and unpredictable. Rachel is torn between her loyalty to Joe and her lingering feelings for Sam, especially when he starts exhibiting strange powers, like causing objects to move with his mind and impregnating a woman with an alien embryo.

Joe is suspicious of Sam's motives and tries to warn Rachel about him, but she is unable to resist Sam's allure. Meanwhile, Tony is increasingly disturbed by his father's changed demeanor and starts having bizarre nightmares. As the tension between the characters reaches a boiling point, it becomes clear that Sam's return is part of a larger alien plan to infiltrate and take over humanity.

Xtro is known for its graphic, disturbing imagery and unsettling tone. The film was unsuccessful at the box office but has gained a cult following over the years for its unique blend of sci-fi and horror elements.
