The American conspirator, Mason, is played by actor Vincent Zhao, while his daughter, Tang Ning, is played by actress Mini Yang. The Taoist martial arts competition is held every 20 years, and Mason sees this as the perfect opportunity to steal the treasure that supposedly lies within Wudang Mountain.
However, things do not go according to plan when a young disciple named Tianxin (played by Xu Jiao) is chosen to represent Wudang in the competition. Tianxin is a skilled martial artist, and she becomes an unexpected challenge for Tang Ning and the other competitors.
As the competition progresses, relationships become complicated and tensions rise. The Korean Tai Chi descendant, Su Ying (played by Li Yuqi), falls in love with Mason, while another competitor, Zhou Huai'an (played by Shishi Liu), harbors feelings for Tianxin.
The plot thickens when the true nature of the treasure is revealed to be the key to the magnetic field of Wudang Mountain. If it is stolen, the consequences could be catastrophic for the entire region. A group of young heroes band together to protect Wudang and its secrets from the greedy hands of the conspirators.
The movie is directed by Patrick Leung, and it showcases the beauty of Wudang Mountain and the martial arts techniques practiced by its people. With thrilling fight scenes and a captivating storyline, "Wu Dang" is a must-watch for fans of the genre.
