Ryan Harrison, played by Leslie Nielsen, is a famous violinist who is serenading his fans at a concert. He is desired by women, including Lauren Goodhue, played by Kelly LeBrock. Despite her advances, Ryan insists on being faithful to his longtime girlfriend, who is currently away on a trip.

However, the next day, Mr. Goodhue is found dead, and Ryan becomes the prime suspect. He is arrested and sentenced to death by the electric chair. Before the execution, he is given one final meal, during which he requests a single olive. When the guards bring it to him, he uses it to short-circuit the chair, allowing him to make his escape.

Ryan is now on the run and has to clear his name. Along the way, he gets into various misadventures, from being chased by a dog to jumping onto a moving train. He meets a woman named Cass Lake, played by Melinda McGraw, who helps him in his quest to find the mysterious one-eyed, one-armed, one-legged man who can clear his name.

As Ryan gets closer to finding the man, he realizes that there is a conspiracy to frame him for the murder. He is pursued by a group of CIA agents and even gets mistaken for a doctor at a hospital.

In the end, Ryan manages to clear his name and finds out the true identity of the killer. The movie ends with him becoming a hero and getting back together with his girlfriend. Wrongfully Accused is a hilarious parody of classic thriller movies, and Leslie Nielsen gives a remarkable performance as the lead character.
