World War III

Drama  Iran

World War III is a dramatic film that follows the life of Shakib, a homeless day laborer who lives in a shantytown in an impoverished part of the city. Shakib has been struggling to come to terms with the tragic loss of his wife and son in an earthquake that struck the city many years ago. With no family or friends to turn to, he spends his days working odd jobs and trying to scrape together enough money to survive.

Over time, Shakib has developed a strong relationship with Ladan, a deaf and mute woman who lives nearby. Despite their language barrier, they have formed a deep connection and often communicate through gestures and expressions. Ladan is one of the only people who truly understands Shakib and his struggles.

One day, Shakib is hired to work on a construction site that, unbeknownst to him, is actually the set of a film about the atrocities committed by Hitler during WWII. Due to a series of fortunate events, Shakib is offered a small role in the film and given his own house to live in, along with a steady income.

However, when Ladan learns about his sudden turn of fortune, she becomes desperate for his help. She has been abused and mistreated by her landlord, who has threatened to throw her out onto the street. Shakib hatches a plan to hide Ladan in his new house, but things quickly spiral out of control. His actions have severe consequences, and he risks losing everything he has worked so hard to gain.

World War III is a powerful film that explores themes of loss, redemption, and the lengths we will go to protect those we care about. It highlights the struggles of the marginalized and the importance of empathy and compassion in our daily lives.
