Winter's Tale is a 2014 American romantic fantasy film directed by Akiva Goldsman, based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Mark Helprin. The movie stars Colin Farrell as Peter Lake, a thief who breaks into a mansion in the hopes of making a big score. However, he comes across Beverly Penn (played by Jessica Brown Findlay), a wealthy heiress who is dying of consumption.
