Winter Sleep is a Turkish drama film directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, which was released in 2014. The film is set in the rural area of Cappadocia in central Anatolia, Turkey, where the story revolves around Aydin, a former actor who has retired to run a small hotel in the region.
Throughout the movie, we see Aydin being gradually detached from his surroundings, both emotionally and physically. His relationships with his wife Nihal and his sister Necla become severely strained as a result of his own pride and misjudgment.
