Chelsea is a successful event planner from LA who inherits a house in Vail, a charming ski town in Colorado. She decides to take a break from her busy life and visit the town where she used to spend holidays with her family. When she gets there, she finds out that the house needs a lot of work and she contacts a local handyman, Owen, for help.
Owen is a friendly, easy-going guy who loves his small town and knows everybody in it. As they work on the house, Owen shows Chelsea around and introduces her to the locals, who are all excited to have her back in town. They also bond over their shared love for cooking and exchange recipes for their favorite dishes.
One day, Chelsea comes up with the idea of organizing a festival to celebrate the town's heritage and attract tourists during the slow season. She pitches the idea to the town council and they agree to help her put it together. Together with Owen and other volunteers, they plan the Strudelfest, a weekend-long event featuring traditional German pastries and music.
As the festival approaches, Chelsea and Owen grow closer and realize they have feelings for each other. However, just as they are about to confess their love, Chelsea's job calls and she has to return to LA. Devastated, Owen realizes he could lose her forever.
On the day of the festival, Chelsea surprises Owen by showing up unexpectedly. They rekindle their romance and enjoy the festivities together. Chelsea realizes that she loves Vail and Owen too much to leave and decides to stay in town. They celebrate their love with a kiss as snow softly falls on their faces.
