In the movie, Pooh realizes he forgot to ask for anything for himself on the Christmas list he and his friends had sent to Santa Claus. In order to retrieve the letter and add his own request, Pooh sets out on a journey through the snow-covered Hundred Acre Wood with his best friend Piglet. Along the way, they meet up with their other friends, including Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga, and Roo, who all join in the search for the letter.
Meanwhile, back at home, Rabbit is in charge of decorating for the Christmas festivities and is frustrated with the chaos that ensues with the gang's various requests and help. He also learns the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of spending time with loved ones.
With time running out, Pooh and Piglet eventually find the letter to Santa, but it gets blown away by a gust of wind. However, they manage to catch it just in time and deliver it to Santa with Pooh's extra request. On Christmas morning, the gang wakes up to find that Santa has indeed granted their wishes, even Pooh's, and they celebrate with a festive feast and joyous caroling. The movie ends with a heartwarming scene of the friends gathered together, huddled around the fire, and reflecting on the joys of the holiday season.
