Willow is a fantasy adventure film released in 1988, directed by Ron Howard, and produced by George Lucas. One day, he meets the midwife of a captured woman who has just given birth to a girl child with a special birthmark. Willow soon learns that the baby may be the prophesied child of a legend that will overthrow Queen Bavmorda's evil rule.
Meanwhile, Queen Bavmorda searches for the child, as she believes that the prophecy predicts that the child will be her downfall. Willow embarks on a dangerous quest to deliver the baby to a place of safety, encountering various obstacles and allies on his journey. He meets Madmartigan, a brave swordsman who is initially reluctant to help him; Finn Raziel, a powerful enchantress, whose curse turned her into a possum; and Cherlindrea, the Fairy Queen who helps them on their journey.
As they journey towards their destination, the group is chased and attacked by Queen Bavmorda's army, encountering danger at every turn. Eventually, they reach a sacred place called Tir Asleen, where Madmartigan falls in love with Sorsha, the daughter of Queen Bavmorda, who goes against her mother's plans. The battle between good and evil ultimately culminates in a final showdown at Nockmaar Castle.
