Why? follows the story of Blake Sinclair, a struggling writer who returns to her hometown of Northdale for inspiration. However, her homecoming takes a sinister turn when a bloodthirsty maniac begins a killing spree in the town, leaving multiple victims in his wake.
As the body count rises, Blake and a group of survivors band together to try and track down the killer before it's too late. But the killer seems to always be one step ahead, leaving cryptic clues and leading them on a deadly game of cat and mouse.
As the group uncovers the killer's motive, they realize that Blake may be the target, and she must use her wit and resourcefulness to outsmart the killer and stay alive.
