Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a 1966 film adaptation of Edward Albee's Tony Award-winning play of the same name. The film stars Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton as Martha and George, a middle-aged couple who invite a young couple, Nick and Honey, over for a late-night drink after a faculty party.
As the night wears on and the alcohol flows freely, the atmosphere becomes increasingly tense and volatile. Martha and George engage in a series of bitter, acrimonious arguments, using Nick and Honey as pawns in their twisted game of emotional manipulation.
The film explores themes of love, sex, power, and the destructive nature of human relationships.
