Where the Boys Are is a 1960 romantic comedy film directed by Henry Levin and starring Dolores Hart, Yvette Mimieux, Paula Prentiss, and Connie Francis. The film tells the story of four college girls who embark on a spring break trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in search of sun, fun, and romance.

As they arrive in Fort Lauderdale, the girls quickly realize that they are not alone in their quest for love and that they must compete with hundreds of other college students for the eligible bachelors' attention. However, each girl faces different challenges as they navigate their way through the party scene and attempt to find true love.

Merritt (Dolores Hart) is the serious-minded and studious member of the group who falls for a handsome law student who challenges her intellectually. Melanie (Yvette Mimieux) is the wealthy and beautiful girl who struggles to find someone who loves her for who she is, rather than for her money. Tuggle (Paula Prentiss) is the tall and lanky tomboy who falls for a charming young man who helps her come out of her shell. Angie (Connie Francis) is the innocent and naive girl who falls for a smooth-talking musician who may not be who he seems.

As the girls' relationships blossom and wither, they learn about themselves and each other, ultimately finding the love they were searching for in unexpected ways. Where the Boys Are captures the excitement and innocence of youthful adventure and serves as a nostalgic look at a bygone era of American culture and romance.
