When Jeff, a quirky and introverted man in his 30s, finds out that his beloved bowling alley is going to be sold to an owner who plans to turn it into a parking lot, he becomes desperate to save it. Jeff's entire life revolves around the bowling alley - he lives in a small apartment above it, works there as the manager, and frequently socializes with the regulars.

Jeff's efforts to save the bowling alley are met with resistance from the owner, who sees the sale as a business opportunity. Additionally, Jeff's unconventional methods of fundraising, such as hosting a bowling tournament and attempting to set a world record for the most strikes in a row, are met with mixed results.

Through his journey to save the alley, Jeff must confront his fears and insecurities, particularly his fear of change and reluctance to leave his comfort zone. Along the way, he also forms meaningful connections with his coworkers, the regulars, and a woman named Heather who he meets through his fundraising efforts.

As the deadline for the sale approaches, Jeff's determination and perseverance are put to the test. Will he be able to save the bowling alley and the community it represents, or will it be lost forever?
