When Angels Sleep is a Spanish thriller directed by Gonzalo Bendala. The film stars Julián Villagrán as Germán, a businessman and family man who finds himself in a nightmarish situation after accidentally running over two teenage girls while driving home late at night.
Panicking, Germán makes a split-second decision to leave the scene of the accident and drive home. But his conscience won't let him rest easy, and he begins to feel the weight of guilt and responsibility bearing down on him.
Things quickly escalate when Germán discovers that one of the girls he hit is the daughter of a powerful and vengeful drug lord. He is then forced into a tense and dangerous game of cat and mouse as he tries to keep his family safe and protect himself from the wrath of the drug lord.
As Germán struggles to extricate himself from this deadly web of lies and deceit, the tension and suspense ratchet up to an almost unbearable level.
