In the film, the mysterious writer behind a monster fanzine approaches three New Yorkers - a writer, an actress, and a bartender - and asks them what really scares them. Each interviewee shares their deepest and most primal fears, ranging from losing their loved ones to being trapped alone in a dark room.
After the article is published, strange and terrifying events begin to occur in each of their lives. The writer starts seeing a ghostly figure, the actress is stalked by a masked man, and the bartender is haunted by a demonic presence. As their fears come to life, they must confront their own psychological demons and figure out how to defeat them before they are consumed by them.
The film weaves together psychological horror and supernatural elements, blurring the lines between reality and madness. As the characters unravel the mystery of the writer and the fanzine, they must also confront their own fears and the consequences of their actions. Ultimately, the film explores the power of the human psyche and the fine line between fear and reality.
