The story follows Ali Davis (Taraji P. Henson), a successful sports agent who constantly faces sexism and discrimination in her male-dominated workplace. After being overlooked for a promotion, Ali is determined to get the next big NBA star to sign with her agency. However, her plans are shattered when she is passed over yet again, this time in favor of a less experienced male colleague.
Feeling dejected, Ali visits a psychic who gives her a special tea that causes her to suddenly be able to hear what men are thinking. At first, Ali is terrified by the new ability but soon realizes it could be a game-changer in her career. With the help of her new powers, Ali must navigate the treacherous world of professional sports and prove her worth to her colleagues, clients, and herself.
Throughout the film, Ali uses her new power to her advantage by manipulating her male colleagues into giving her the respect she deserves and fighting back against the sexist and unfair treatment she has faced throughout her career. Along the way, she also discovers more about herself and what she truly wants in life.
