What Have You Done to Solange? is a 1972 Italian giallo film directed by Massimo Dallamano. The movie follows Enrico Rosseni, an Italian literature professor who is having an affair with his student, Elizabeth Seccles. However, their relationship takes a dark turn when several female students are found murdered near the riverbank.
Enrico soon becomes a prime suspect in the case, but he believes that the real killer is someone else. He starts his own investigation to clear his name and find the true culprit. Along the way, he meets other male and female teachers who are also suspects in the murders.
As the investigation progresses, Enrico discovers that the murders are linked to a series of illegal abortions that the college doctor and a local abortionist carried out on female students. Enrico also discovers that his troubled student, Solange, was one of the victims of the abortion ring.
As Enrico and the police close in on the killer, they realize that the killer is someone they least expected. The movie culminates in a shocking twist ending, revealing who the true killer is and why they committed the murders.
What Have You Done to Solange? is a suspenseful, dark, and disturbing film with themes of sexual morality, abortion, and psychological trauma. It has become a classic in the giallo genre and is considered one of Dallamano's finest works.
