Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins is a comedy movie released in 2008. It features Martin Lawrence as the titular character, Roscoe Jenkins, a successful TV show host who returns to his hometown in the South after many years. Roscoe is going home to receive an award for his work, but he soon realizes that he will have to face his eccentric family who never let him forget his humble beginnings.

Roscoe's family consists of his overbearing mother, played by Irma P. Hall, and his father, played by James Earl Jones, a tough-talking and no-nonsense man. His siblings include his younger brother Otis, played by Michael Clarke Duncan, who is still stuck in his teenage years, and his sister Betty, played by Mo'Nique, who is married to an unfaithful man.

As soon as Roscoe arrives in town, he is bombarded by his family's antics, including his ex-girlfriend Lucinda, played by Nicole Ari Parker, who is now married to his cousin Clyde, played by Cedric the Entertainer. Lucinda resents Roscoe for leaving her behind when he moved to LA to pursue his career. This creates tension between the two and adds to Roscoe's already overwhelming task of dealing with his family.

Throughout the movie, Roscoe tries to navigate his past and present as he reconnects with old friends and family members. He also tries to rekindle his romance with Lucinda, but ends up falling for a successful businesswoman named Bianca, played by Joy Bryant.
