Laurel is a successful event planner who returns to her hometown of Memphis to plan her wedding at the iconic Graceland Chapel. However, she discovers that the chapel has had a cancellation and the next available spot for her wedding is in just three weeks.
Laurel's fiancé, Clay, is a singer-songwriter who owns a local bar in Memphis. They decide to have a small, intimate wedding with just their closest friends and family attending. However, when their families arrive, things start getting complicated.
Laurel's mother, Vivian, is a successful businesswoman who wants the wedding to be extravagant and over-the-top. Clay's mother, Nell, is a laid-back Southern woman who wants nothing more than for her son to be happy. The clash of personalities creates tension and conflict between the families.
As the wedding gets closer, Laurel and Clay start to have doubts about their wedding. Laurel's ex-boyfriend also arrives on the scene, adding to the chaos.
