We All Think We're Special is a psychological drama film directed by Kirby Voss and written by Kirby Voss and Will Bakke. The movie follows the story of a group of friends - Stacey, Jake, Chris, and Gina - who live in small-town Texas.

The group spends their days working at a car repair shop and their nights partying and doing drugs. Stacey, who is the owner of the car shop, is also the unofficial leader of the group, and his best friend Jake is his right-hand man.

One night, after a particularly wild party, Jake overdoses on drugs and alcohol and falls into a coma. Stacey is devastated and decides to take matters into his own hands. He locks Jake in a room and goes through a brutal detox process with him, determined to save his friend's life - no matter what it takes.

As Stacey and Jake go through the detox process, tensions rise among the group, revealing deep-seated issues and unresolved traumas. The movie explores themes of friendship, addiction, and the cost of doing whatever it takes to save someone you love.

We All Think We're Special premiered at the Austin Film Festival in 2020 and received critical acclaim for its powerful performances and gripping storyline. The film is a thought-provoking and emotional rollercoaster that will leave viewers contemplating the complex issues it raises long after the credits roll.
