In the movie Warriors of the Year 2072, the two television networks, World Television Network (WTN) and Continental Broadcasting System (CBS), have merged to become the World Broadcasting Network (WBN) in order to combat declining ratings. The network executives decide that violent game shows are the way to go in order to increase their viewership, and thus create a new show called The Battle of the Motorcycles.
The Battle of the Motorcycles is a modern-day version of the Roman gladiators, with the participants riding motorcycles instead of chariots. In an effort to make the show more exciting, the WBN uses convicted murderers as the participants. The show becomes a sensation and viewers tune in in droves to watch the violence and carnage.
To make the show even more interesting, the WBN decides to create a champion for the show. They frame a constant winner from another game show, named Drake, for murder and place him on The Battle of the Motorcycles. Drake is initially hesitant to participate, but he soon realizes that he has no other choice.
Eventually, Drake becomes the champion of The Battle of the Motorcycles and gains a following among the viewers. However, he begins to have doubts about the show's morality and becomes disillusioned with his own fame. In the end, Drake rebels against the network and tries to escape the violence of the game show.
