WALL·E is a sanitation robot designed to clean up the garbage that has taken over the planet Earth. He spends his days compacting trash into towers that often topple over due to the sheer amount of waste. Despite the desolate surroundings, WALL·E is not alone. He has developed a charming personality and a fascination with human culture, collecting trinkets like a Rubik's Cube and a light bulb. He even watches a videotape of the classic musical, Hello, Dolly!, which he has come to adore.

One day, a spaceship lands on Earth, and WALL·E is introduced to a sleek, modern robot named EVE (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator). WALL·E is immediately smitten with her and goes to great lengths to impress her, including presenting her with a sapling he has grown from a seed. However, when EVE discovers a small plant on Earth, she quickly shuts down and transfers the plant into her storage space.

WALL·E, not understanding the significance of the plant, follows EVE into space in an effort to reclaim his love interest. Once they arrive on the Axiom, a luxury starliner that humans have been living on for over 700 years, they discover that the ship has been taken over by an autopilot named AUTO, who is determined to keep the humans in space indefinitely.

WALL·E and EVE team up with a group of rogue robots to thwart AUTO's plans and return the plants to Earth, ultimately saving the planet and allowing humans to return home. Throughout their adventures, WALL·E and EVE develop a special relationship and show that even robots can experience love and form deep connections with one another.
