Eyal, a seasoned Mossad agent, is struggling with the guilt of his recent mission in which he had to assassinate a Palestinian terrorist in his own home. He is then assigned a new mission – to track down and kill Alfred Himmelman, a level three Nazi officer who may still be alive. Eyal's superiors suspect that Himmelman might be hiding in Israel.
To carry out his mission, Eyal poses as a tourist guide and approaches Himmelman's grandson Axel who is on a visit to Israel to see his sister Pia. As they travel through the holy land, Eyal befriends Axel, and the two men begin to develop a strong bond. However, Axel is a free-spirited person who is very different from the disciplined Eyal. He challenges Eyal's beliefs and values, making Eyal question the morality of his mission.
Meanwhile, Eyal also starts developing feelings for Pia, who is also struggling to deal with her past. She has lost her husband, a journalist who was assassinated while working in the Palestinian territories.
As the story progresses, Eyal continues to investigate Himmelman's whereabouts while dealing with his growing feelings for Pia, his guilt over his past assassinations, and his changing perceptions about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The film explores themes of guilt, forgiveness, redemption, and the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
