In Wakko's Wish, the Warner siblings and the rest of the Animaniacs gang live in a kingdom called Acme Falls. The kingdom is ruled by a greedy king, who hoards all of the town's wealth and does not care about the well-being of his subjects. When a power-hungry duke threatens to take over the kingdom, the Warner siblings and their friends set out on a quest to find the wishing star, which is said to grant a wish to the one who finds it.
Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including a group of orphans who are trying to find a new home, a kindly old woman who gives them shelter, and a sinister fortune teller who tries to steal the wishing star. As they race to find the star before the duke, the Animaniacs must work together and overcome their differences in order to save their kingdom.
Wakko's Wish features many of the original voice actors from the Animaniacs TV show, including Rob Paulsen as Yakko, Tress MacNeille as Dot, and Jess Harnell as Wakko. The film also includes a number of new characters, as well as musical numbers and comedic moments in the same vein as the TV show. Despite being a direct-to-video release, Wakko's Wish has gained a cult following over the years and is still beloved by fans of the Animaniacs franchise.
