Waking Up in Reno is a 2002 road trip comedy film directed by Jordan Brady. The film follows two couples, Candy (played by Charlize Theron) and Lonnie Earl (played by Patrick Swayze) and Roy (played by Billy Bob Thornton) and Darlene (played by Natasha Richardson), as they embark on a road trip to watch a monster truck show in Reno, Nevada.
As they make their way to Reno, the four reveal their secrets and relationships begin to unravel. Candy and Lonnie Earl's affair is exposed, while Roy reveals that he has a secret fertility issue that has prevented him from having children with Darlene. Darlene, in turn, reveals that she has been having an affair of her own.
