Waiting for Bojangles is a French drama film, based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Olivier Bourdeaut. The story follows a boy named George (played by Freddie Fox) and his parents, a charming and eccentric couple named Victor (played by Jean Rochefort) and Jerry (played by Anna Galiena). The family lives in a wild and imaginative world, where anything is possible. They dance, sing, and play games all day long, and they have the most unusual pets, including a kangaroo!
However, as time passes, Jerry begins to spiral into her own mind, struggling with mental illness. Her fragile condition creates turbulence and chaos, but Victor and George remain steadfast in their love for her. With unbreakable determination, they try to keep her grounded, sane, and happy, even as she slips further and further away from reality.
