Voyagers follows a group of 30 young men and women who have been genetically engineered to embark on a mission to colonize a distant planet called Ebetha. The mission is the result of a global catastrophe that has rendered Earth uninhabitable.

The expedition is led by a scientist named Richard Alling (Colin Farrell), who is the only adult on board the spaceship. Upon arrival, Richard plans to slowly awaken the passengers from their induced state and begin the colonization process. However, things take a dark turn when the young crew members discover a cache of hidden chemicals, including "The Blue".

When they are told that the Blue is a necessary supplement to their diet, they follow Richard's orders and begin taking it. However, they soon realize that the Blue has been altering their emotions and behavior, effectively suppressing their sexual urges and aggressive tendencies.

As the crew begins to rebel against their leader and each other, the spaceship becomes a dystopian society where power and lustful desires rule. The characters struggle to differentiate their base human nature from what has been repressed through the chemical suppressor. With time running out and the fate of humanity at stake, the crew must find a way to come together and complete their mission before their primal tendencies consume them completely.

Voyagers is a provocative sci-fi thriller about human nature and the dangers of supressing natural instincts, starring Tye Sheridan, Lily-Rose Depp, and Fionn Whitehead. It was written and directed by Neil Burger.
