Vixen is a 1968 exploitation film directed by Russ Meyer. The film is set in a secluded mountain resort in British Columbia, Canada, where Vixen, a sexually liberated and manipulative woman lives with her pilot husband, Tom. Vixen is portrayed as a seductive and uninhibited woman who openly flaunts her sexuality and is not afraid to use her body to get what she wants.
The film follows Vixen as she engages in numerous sexual encounters with different men, including a lesbian affair with a married woman. Her husband, Tom, is portrayed as naive and oblivious to her infidelities, leaving her free to pursue her sexual desires without any guilt or repercussions. Along the way, Vixen also engages in some racist behavior, including refusing to sleep with her brother's biker friend, who is black.
The film drew criticism for its portrayal of racial stereotypes and overtly sexual content. Despite this, Vixen has become a cult classic and is regarded as one of Russ Meyer's most successful films.
