Visiting Hours is a 1982 Canadian-American slasher film directed by Jean-Claude Lord and starring Michael Ironside, Lee Grant, and William Shatner. The film tells the story of a crazed serial killer who targets a TV newswoman named Deborah Ballin (played by Lee Grant) and attacks her in her apartment. Deborah survives the initial attack but is left badly injured and is rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
During her stay in the hospital, Deborah becomes the target of the slasher once again as he tracks her down and tries to finish what he started. The killer, known only as Colt Hawker (played by Michael Ironside), is determined to silence Deborah forever and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
As the hospital staff struggles to protect Deborah from the intruder, veteran news anchor Ben Taylor (played by William Shatner) becomes involved in the investigation and begins his own race against time to find the killer before he strikes again.
