Virgin Territory is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Lorenzo (played by Hayden Christensen), a young nobleman who is in love with his stepsister, Pampinea (played by Mischa Barton). However, their love is not meant to be as Pampinea is already engaged to a wealthy merchant.
As the Black Death ravages through Tuscany, Lorenzo flees to a friend's castle and comes across ten young Florentines seeking refuge from the plague. Among them is the beautiful and witty Lucy (played by Anna Chancellor) who catches Lorenzo's eye.
In the castle, the group indulges in various sexual escapades and adventures while trying to avoid contracting the disease. They encounter randy nuns who are secretly having affairs, Saracen pirates who raid the castle, and even a sexy cow that leads to a hilarious mistaken identity scenario.
However, their fun is short-lived as the group is eventually discovered by the plague and they must face their mortality and make amends for their past sins before it's too late.
