Violet and Daisy are two teenagers who work as assassins, taking on various jobs to earn money. They are best friends and their favorite pastime is dressing up in matching outfits and watching old Hollywood movies. One day, they are offered a job that seems like a quick and easy target, but things quickly go awry when they arrive at their target's house.
Instead of finding a defenseless mark as they expected, they discover that their target, Michael, is a charming and charismatic guy who seems to be unfazed by their presence. As they wait for their opportunity to strike, they find themselves drawn into Michael's world and start to question their assumptions about their job and the people they are hired to kill.
As they spend more time with Michael, Violet and Daisy start to see him as a real person, with hopes, dreams, and fears, rather than just a target to eliminate. Their feelings of guilt and doubt begin to grow, and they start to question whether they should carry out the job or not.
As the day of the assassination draws closer, Violet and Daisy struggle to reconcile their conflicting emotions and make a decision about what to do. Meanwhile, Michael has his own secrets and agenda, and the three of them find themselves in a complex and dangerous web of deceit and violence.
Violet & Daisy is a darkly comedic thriller that explores themes of friendship, morality, and the human capacity for change. The film features strong performances from Saoirse Ronan and Alexis Bledel as Violet and Daisy, and James Gandolfini as Michael.
